NT Concepts selected Mark Cabrey as its new Chief Executive Officer, elevating the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s strategic shift. Cabrey assumes the top role to accelerate the delivery of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven engineering, analytics, and modernization capabilities for critical national security missions.
Under his leadership, the technology provider focuses heavily on supporting defense and intelligence community customers in their modernization efforts.
Driving AI-Focused Defense Modernization
Cabrey will guide NT Concepts in sustaining key investments crucial for operations in contested and data-intensive environments. These investments target adversarial technologies, predictive intelligence, and comprehensive digital modernization.
Cabrey’s appointment formalizes his instrumental role in transitioning the company from a traditional federal contractor into a proactive technology partner since he joined in 2019.
The company aims to rapidly deploy mission-aligned AI technologies that inform decision-making and defend against adversarial threats.
“We are scaling solutions that enable our customers to act faster, smarter, and with unmatched precision and confidence at the point of need,” Cabrey stated, emphasizing their commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
Deep Government and Industry Experience
Cabrey brings extensive experience in finance, operations, and organizational transformation from prior senior leadership positions. Before joining NT Concepts, he served as COO and CFO at Technica and spent nearly four years at Phacil, where he progressed from CFO to President.
He also held finance leadership roles at URS (a company that later absorbed Apptis) and served as Vice President and Corporate Controller at Apptis. His career in senior management began at Unisys. This robust background positions him perfectly to guide NT Concepts’ next era of growth, according to company founder and executive board chair, Michele Bolos.
NT Concepts will align its research and proprietary technology investments with operational deployment efforts. It plans to execute this strategy through multi-service Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs) and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III projects and production contracts.
This approach ensures the company accelerates the delivery of advanced defensive and intelligence capabilities across joint domains, directly meeting the urgent needs of the federal sector.
