TekSynap completed the acquisition of JBA, Inc., immediately strengthening its ability to deliver mission-critical FBI IT Support services. This strategic move successfully incorporates JBA’s extensive experience, which includes more than two decades of dedicated technology engineering support for the law enforcement agency. The combined company now positions itself uniquely to accelerate the secure delivery of classified systems, bridging capabilities from data centers to the tactical edge.
Expanding Federal Footprint and Expertise
The transaction significantly expands TekSynap’s mission portfolio. The company enhances its offerings across vital areas, including IT service management, network engineering, software development, cloud computing, and cyber operations. The acquisition strengthens the firm’s physical presence, particularly for programs supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The combined entity now boasts greater operational reach across the National Capital Region, Quantico, Virginia, the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and the growing technology campus at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. JBA, Inc. also holds several key certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, underscoring its commitment to operational excellence and information security—critical factors for federal customers.
Strategic Alignment for Mission-Critical IT
The integration of JBA, now operating as a wholly owned subsidiary, aligns perfectly with the future direction of federal IT services. The acquisition strategically positions the combined company to meet emerging mission needs as the FBI consolidates its technology infrastructure under the IT Supplies and Support Services 2 (ITSSS-2) blanket purchase agreement. TekSynap leadership emphasized JBA’s trusted service and expertise, noting that the combined entity will accelerate the secure delivery of classified systems.
The firm, which already maintains a Top Secret facility clearance and employs over 1,200 cleared professionals, looks forward to building upon this strong foundation. The merged organization continues delivering high-impact, mission-critical FBI IT Support to federal law enforcement partners, ensuring reliable and mission-focused solutions for complex technical challenges.
