Arcfield officially finalized its acquisition of Rite-Solutions on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in its strategy to broaden its national security capabilities. This move integrates Rite-Solutions’ specialized knowledge in naval systems and undersea warfare with Arcfield’s established leadership in nuclear surety and missile engineering.
Strengthening Undersea Warfare and Naval Systems
By completing the Arcfield closes Rite-Solutions acquisition, the company secures a stronger foothold in the maritime domain. Rite-Solutions brings a robust portfolio of software development, systems engineering, and cybersecurity services tailored for federal customers. This synergy allows the combined entity to support defense missions from the ocean floor to the edges of space.
Kevin Kelly, chairman and CEO of Arcfield, emphasized that the company remains focused on providing mission partners with a distinct technological edge. He noted that the acquisition positions the organization to deliver exceptional support across every domain of national security.
Expanding Federal Capabilities
The integration benefits existing customers of both organizations. Joe Marino, CEO and co-founder of Rite-Solutions, stated that the partnership enables his team to expand beyond undersea warfare. Specifically, Arcfield’s expertise in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and artificial intelligence innovation will provide the U.S. Navy and other federal agencies with a more comprehensive suite of technical capabilities.
Rite-Solutions recently demonstrated its industry impact by securing a $243.6 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract. This contract tasks the company with providing engineering and technical support for the U.S. Navy’s next-generation attack submarine program, the SSN(X) Combat Systems of the Future.
A Legacy of Strategic Growth
This deal follows a series of strategic moves by Arcfield to dominate the defense-technology hybrid market. In 2023, the company acquired Strategic Technology Consulting to bolster its digital engineering services. Additionally, it purchased Orion Space Solutions to enhance its efforts in space exploration and hypersonic detection for the intelligence community and the Department of Defense.
As Arcfield closes Rite-Solutions acquisition, the company solidifies its role as a premier provider of multi-domain solutions. Legal counsel for the transaction included Latham & Watkins and Crowell & Moring for Arcfield, while The McLean Group served as the financial adviser for Rite-Solutions.
