American Systems officially names Lauren Kilcoyne as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 5. In this critical leadership role, Kilcoyne oversees company operations, spearheads business plan implementation, and supports acquisition strategies. She will also drive internal collaboration to ensure the organization meets its primary strategic objectives.
A Proven Leader in Operations
Kilcoyne joins the executive team with over 20 years of experience in operational leadership and program management. Her expertise covers a broad spectrum of technical fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and information technology.
Prior to this appointment, she served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Air Force division at Astrion. Her professional background also includes significant leadership roles at major industry players such as Lockheed Martin, Leidos, and Capgemini.

Academic and Professional Foundation
Kilcoyne holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Villanova University and a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Her technical foundation and deep understanding of the federal contracting landscape position her to lead the company through its next phase of expansion.
