The agency specifically seeks a full-line food distributor ready to manage a complex overseas supply chain. The chosen contractor will deliver a wide array of items, including perishable goods like fresh produce, meat, dairy, and frozen foods, alongside semi-perishables and necessary non-food service operating supplies. Additionally, the vendor must handle the distribution of government-furnished materials such as ready-to-eat meals, unitized group rations, and health and comfort packs.
DLA structured the firm-fixed-price contract with a five-year ordering period, which divides into three pricing tiers. While the guaranteed minimum commitment stands at $21.8 million, the contract holds a maximum ceiling of $435 million to cover all tiers and surge requirements. Deliveries will support various installations, ranging from shore facilities and mobile kitchens to ration breakpoints and training sites across the country.
