Jess Berrellez joins DLH as the new Vice President of Health IT Strategy and Operations. She immediately works with the corporate growth team to advance strategic cohesion, elevate operational performance, and foster innovation within the company’s crucial health IT portfolio, positioning DLH to strengthen its Federal Health IT Strategy.
Driving Strategic Innovation
Berrellez assumes responsibility for guiding DLH’s strategic expansion within the federal health sector. Her focus areas include advancing digital transformation initiatives, leveraging data-informed strategies, and accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence across the federal health landscape.
This new leadership position positions DLH to better serve its customers, helping them achieve modernization goals. She will leverage her substantial background to drive the company’s strategic vision.
Seasoned Federal Expertise
Berrellez possesses over a decade and a half of expertise in digital modernization and workforce innovation. Before joining DLH, she spent 15 years in various leadership roles at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), most recently serving as an executive officer.
Her extensive experience at the FDA included roles as executive director of strategy and operations and multiple senior adviser positions. She also advanced critical programs, including the INFORMED data science program. Berrellez’s deep understanding of federal agency needs, including work supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH), will be vital in her new role as she pushes the company’s growth agenda.
