The Northrop Grumman CFO position will soon see a new leader as the company’s board of directors elected John Greene as Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Greene steps into the role effective January 7, 2026, and will report directly to Chair, President, and CEO Kathy Warden.
He takes over from Ken Crews, who will depart the organization on February 20 after providing advisory support for a seamless transition.
Warden lauded Greene as a seasoned finance executive with a distinguished record of global leadership and deep experience across complex, highly regulated industries. She specifically highlighted his consistent success managing strategic capital deployment, maintaining operational discipline, and creating shareholder value.
Greene brings extensive experience from the global banking, insurance, and financial services sectors. Most recently, he served for nearly six years as the chief financial officer at Discover Financial Services.
His previous experience includes CFO roles at Bioverativ, Willis Group Holdings, and various business units within HSBC. Furthermore, he held several senior finance roles at General Electric for 12 years and began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young.
