This strategic move aims to deliver true Cyber Resilience to clients by integrating leading technologies to proactively combat evolving digital threats. The combined entity now provides unmatched eXtended Detection and Response (XDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), and Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) capabilities, significantly enhancing the defense posture of organizations against sophisticated cyber adversaries.
Integrating Advanced Technologies
The acquisition significantly expands LevelBlue’s capacity to handle advanced cyberthreats through a potent combination of artificial intelligence and deep human expertise. LevelBlue will integrate Cybereason’s cutting-edge XDR technology with its existing MDR services, previously offered through Trustwave. This integration creates a unified and proactive cybersecurity experience.
Furthermore, the company plans to merge Cybereason’s advanced artificial intelligence innovations with LevelBlue’s proprietary agentic AI to advance its technology stack further, ensuring clients receive actionable insights faster. The consolidation also merges Cybereason’s research team with LevelBlue SpiderLabs, strengthening collective threat intelligence gathering and analysis.
Strategic Investment and Leadership
To support this integration and accelerate growth, LevelBlue secured strategic investment from major financial entities, including SoftBank Corp., SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and Liberty Strategic Capital. This significant financial backing validates the company’s vision and its expanded position in the global cybersecurity market.
As part of the deal’s closing, Steven Mnuchin, managing partner of Liberty Strategic Capital and former Secretary of the Treasury, now serves on LevelBlue’s board. Leadership affirmed that the joint goal focuses on moving clients beyond mere reactive defense, empowering them instead to achieve true organizational cyber resilience. Additionally, the deal bolsters LevelBlue’s global footprint by leveraging Cybereason’s existing presence in markets like Japan.
