Manny Mora officially assumes the role of President and Chief Executive Officer at Kymeta, succeeding Rick Bergman. As Manny Mora Kymeta CEO, he immediately drives the company’s commitment to accelerating its crucial work in mobile satellite communications (satcom) technology for the Department of Defense (DoD) and allied governments.
Bergman, the former leader, guided the launch of the Goshawk u8 terminal and successfully advanced multi-band satcom using a single aperture before the leadership transition.
Bringing Decades of National Security Experience
Kymeta gains a seasoned leader in Mora, who brings over 40 years of experience supporting critical national security operations. Mora spent his career at General Dynamics Mission Systems, providing operational support across the DoD, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the intelligence community, and international partners.
This extensive background provides the depth required to scale Kymeta’s operations and meet the demands of government customers.
Nicole Piasecki, Executive Chair of the Kymeta board, stated that Mora possesses the “operational depth and strategic clarity” necessary to strengthen the company’s role as a trusted partner to national security customers as the defense community modernizes its command-and-control infrastructure.
Kymeta’s new CEO, Manny Mora, takes on this leadership position at a time when secure, mobile connectivity is mission-critical across various domains.
Focusing on Innovation and Deployment
Mora, the new Kymeta CEO, focuses on two key priorities: accelerating innovation and expanding Kymeta’s deployment footprint. He asserts that the company’s breakthrough technology already transforms how defense and government customers communicate across domains.
Mora will ensure Kymeta’s solutions meet the evolving requirements of its national security partners. Beyond his executive duties, Mora serves as a board member for the New Mexico State University Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from New Mexico State University.
