Peerless Technologies significantly accelerates its growth strategy with the acquisition of QED Systems, a move designed to drive critical Defense Sector Expansion. The Maryland-based defense contractor now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary, immediately bolstering Peerless’s ability to offer comprehensive mission support to military customers.
The combination creates a powerhouse boasting decades of highly regarded experience across complex service areas, including systems engineering, research and development (R&D), and test and evaluation (T&E).
QED Systems brings specialized expertise that directly supports Army command, control, communications, computers, cyber intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) programs. Their core capabilities span program management, logistics, intelligence processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED), and position, navigation and timing (PNT). QED recently secured a $50.5 million Army task order for technical services and holds a previous $79.4 million Navy contract for ship availability strategy development.
Andrea Kunk, President of Peerless Technologies (Peerless Technologies), stated that the unified entity offers expanded capabilities and stronger mission support for warfighters. Mark Berry, Co-founder and Managing Partner of QED (QED Systems), affirmed that Peerless’s culture of integrity and customer support provides an ideal fit for the future.
This purchase marks the second major acquisition for Peerless this year, following the February purchase of Statheros, a firm focused on electromagnetic spectrum operations and open architecture software. These strategic integrations confirm Peerless’s aggressive approach to Defense Sector Expansion and mission engineering within the federal contracting landscape.
This transaction highlights a strong push toward advanced integration and specialization within the federal sector, ensuring robust support for the next generation of warfighter capabilities and enabling further Defense Sector Expansion.
